About us
Smart Bin Online Limited
We are a New Zealand company and we make one thing: Smart Bin Eximus, harvest bin tracking for kiwifruit packhouses.
What we do
Eximus shows a packhouse where every harvest bin is, and whether it is full or empty, without anyone scanning anything. It was trialled with a New Zealand kiwifruit packhouse in early 2026, and the commercial system is built on that trial.
Smart Bin Online Limited was founded by Ian Crawley, who runs the company.
The name
Eximus is from the Latin eximius, meaning exceptional. Smart Bin says what it is. Eximus is the name nobody else has.
